hey everyone welcome to another tips on tableau in this video were going to look at how we can exclude specific item from the list of filter here we have a filter where we can see all the regions over here so lets say for example we wanted a scenario that we do not want to show the users the option to click on central so what we might try to do is go on to filter and we want to exclude the central but by doing this what happens here in the filter is that we just see get crossed out and when we select the other filters we are just doing it exclude filter function this is not what we want so what we can do is to use set as a filter to limit the options shown in this filter list so what we want to do is to right click on this and create a set and we will call this an exclude region set and now lets drag this into the filter over here and lets see what happens over here we see that the central region has disappeared now we just need to do our final touches lets change this back to use
