This is easy function for Microsoft Excel but most of the time you dont know where to find it. So lets get started and Im going to add a strikethrough to all these seven cells and Im going to select them now Im going to click on this arrow button okay now if you click there this format cells dialog box will pop up and take a look at here effects and here you will find a strikethrough if you check mark this option and click OK and Done. You can see now all these seven cells has been strikethrough. So if you undo that option just click on this arrow again now uncheck this strikethrough option and click OK. Create or open the appointment or meeting that you want to make private. On the Meeting or Appointment tab, click Private. Save or send your meeting or appointment as usual. Any meeting attendees will be able to see the details of the meeting.
To do this, select the item on your Calendar or double click on the appointment or meeting to open it in its own window and choose: In the Tags group on the Appointment or Meeting tab, click the Private button with the lock icon (next to the Categorize button).
To prevent that any details of your Calendar is exposed via the Schedule Assistant, you can change the permissions on your Calendar folder. To do this, set the default permissions for your Calendar to Can view when Im busy (Exchange Online) or Free/Busy time (Exchange On-Premises).
Step 2: Block out vacation time on your calendar In Calendar, on the Home tab, click New Appointment. In the Subject box, type a name for your time away. In Start time and End time, click the dates when your time away starts and ends. Select the All day event check box. Change the Show As setting to Out of Office.
Making an appointment private will make the contents of the appointment only visible to you and an individual with specific permission to view private entries within your calendar.
If you have an Exchange, Microsoft 365, or Outlook.com account, you can send a sharing invitation to other users so they can view your calendar in their own Calendar list. Calendar sharing isnt limited to the default Calendar folder that is created in all Outlook profiles.
