welcome back to channel everyone in this video im going to talk about how you can quickly show and hide your sharepoint list column using conditional formatting and as well as how you can change the ordering of your fields value into your sharepoint list form lets just talk about how we can do that if i go to the new form here and there is a drop down option in the top right corner i click on this one click on the edit column and you can see all the fields are here so you can change the ordering of your field which are visible into forms so lets suppose i want to move business type up and just move this up and i just move this up all right and say you will see all the changes here second thing is how i can hide a specific field so what i want is uh when the business type if i go in my business types so that is business and personal so when the business type is business selected then only this quantity field should be visible so ill go to my added column because i have to show heigh

You hide the field, by opening its property dialog, go to the General tab, and then change visible to hidden in the field property dropdown. That should do it. If you want to be double sure, make the field read-only as well. Hope this can help.
Go to the Settings tab. Click Conditions on the left. Add a new condition and select the Show/Hide Field option.
The Javascript uses jQuery to change the DOM depending on the selections made. Essentially, depending on the conditions of a field answer, you can bulk turn show/hide other components of the form. For validation purposes, some extra attributes are changed depending on the selection.

To hide fields onload, create UI policy with no conditions in it. Open a form and right click and configure and chose UI Policy. Now chose which field to hide in UI Policy action and set Visible to False. This will hide the field on form when load.
On the New item page, click on the Edit Form button and then Edit Columns as in the below screen. Now, on the Edit Columns form, click on the three dots (:) and choose Edit Conditional formula from the menu. In my case, its the Project Classification field I want to show or hide.

What you have to do here, remove the field from List Layout and then apply the above ACL . the above ACL will restrict other user to not select from the personalize list because that column wont be available for other user except admin.
