How do private comments work on Google Classroom?

All teachers can view private comments even after they have been deleted. Go to classroom.google.com. Click the class. Choose an option: On the Stream page, click the assignment or question. Click Add private comment. Enter your comment click Post .

Does hiding grades in canvas also hide comments?

If its set to manual, then Canvas will not automatically post grades and submission comments to students. It will wait for the teacher to manually post them. The Hide Grades option hides only grades and comments that have already been posted.

Can other students see private comments?

Class comments can be seen by everyone in the Classroom and can be answered by anyone in the Classroom. Private comments are only seen by the teacher. Private comments are available on each assignment or each question.

Can everyone see private comments on Google Classroom?

Send a private comment to your teacher All teachers in the course can view and reply to private comments. When you open an assignment or question, you can view all responses your teacher makes. All teachers can view private comments even after they have been deleted. Go to classroom.google.com and click Sign In.

How do teachers see private comments?

View a Private Comment (Teacher View) Open the assignment. Go to the Student Work tab. From here you can see thumbnails of your students work. To the left, you will see your roster, and a snippet of the private comment if there is one. Click on the students name to view the private comment.

Can you turn off student comments in Google Classroom?

Class comments is a setting that you can control in the settings cog wheel at the top right corner. If you dont want the students to comment, you will have to select Teachers can only post and comment in the Stream section of the settings page.

How do I hide comments from students in canvas?

Open the SpeedGrader for the assignment. Click the eye icon in the upper left corner. Select the Hide Grades option. To hide grades/comments for a particular section (or sections), select the Specific Sections option, then select the desired sections.

Do teachers get notifications for private comments?

All of the teachers of a class should get the notifications. The teacher may have turned off notifications in their settings.
