here im going to show you how to hide formulas in excel so lets say that we have a super secret discount formula and it changes based on the tourist who walks through the door and we dont want anyone to be able to see that all you have to do is to right click it go to format cells then go to the protection tab and check next to hidden and if you dont want someone to be able to change it or delete it or overwrite it make sure you have locked checked as well then hit ok go to the review tab protect sheet and the only two selections here are select locked cells and select unlocked cells then hit ok and there we go no more formula we can click the other guys and see whats in their cells but not this guy and we go for a double click and we get an error the cell or chart are trying to change is on a protected sheet basically its not going to work and now you have a hidden formula to get it back just go to the review tab unprotect sheet and youre good to go

How to hide formulas in Excel Select a cell or range of cells containing the formulas you want to hide. Open the Format Cells dialog by doing any of the following: In the Format Cells dialog box, switch to the Protection tab, and select the Hidden checkbox. Click the OK button.
How do you lock formulas in Excel but allow data entry? For locking cells containing formulas, but allowing other data entry, select Go To special under Find and Select in the Home section of the ribbon menu. Select formulas under the Go To special window. This will select only the cells that contain formulas.
