some of my viewers have had a question on how they can create a form that will do calculations so today im going to show you how to create a form field using microsoft word and legacy tool form fields that will that will perform simple calculations you can use this for different things for example if youre creating an offer worksheet if you know how to type out the math equation you can use this feature today to keep it simple we are going to do an invoice all right this is our invoice and youll notice that we have the price quantity tax subtotal and total the price quantity and tax are going to be static fields that were going to enter in and then the subtotal and total are going to be the calculating form fields up here i have the equations typed out just so that you can see them and so that we can copy and paste those when we do those when we set up those calculations well of course delete that off of our final version of our invoice all right the first thing were going to do

From Excel Options In the dialog box, click on Advanced in the left pane. Scroll down and under the Display options, uncheck the checkbox for the Show formula bar. Click OK.
Prevent a formula from displaying in the formula bar Select the range of cells whose formulas you want to hide. Click Home Format Format Cells. On the Protection tab, select the Hidden check box. Click OK. Click Review Protect Sheet.
Hide Formula Bar in Google Sheets In the Menu, go to View Formula bar to disable this option. Now, the formula bar is hidden, and you wont be able to see the formula. Alternatively, if you want to protect the formula from further edits you can lock the cell as a protected range.
To hide formulas: Select the cells for which you to want to hide the formulas. Right-click the cell (or cells) and choose Format Cells. In the Format Cells dialog box, click the Protection tab. Check the Hidden box. Note: Hidden is what prevents the user from seeing the formula. Click OK.
Prevent a formula from displaying in the formula bar Select the range of cells whose formulas you want to hide. Click Home Format Format Cells. On the Protection tab, select the Hidden check box. Click OK. Click Review Protect Sheet.
Below are the steps to do this: Select all the cells in the worksheet (you can do this by clicking on the gray triangle at the top left part of the sheet). Click the Home tab. In the Number group, click on the dialog box launcher. In the Format cells dialog box, click on the Protection tab. Uncheck the Locked option.
