On the Enter Grades screen, find the Final Calculated Grade column. It should be the first column to the right of the students names, or the last column in the gradebook. If there is an eye icon next to grades in this column, the grades are released and visible to students.
How to hide grades if your assignment column is empty Go to your Canvas Gradebook. Select the 3 dot icon at the top of the assignment column (See Fig. 1). Select Grade Posting Policy. Change the setting to Manual. Select Save. The grades will be hidden from the students until you choose to Post Grades.
