this video is aimed at moodle admins one of the things when people set up a moodle is the default is the profile will contain a section where people can add their additional names a section for interests and then a section called optional which contains a whole lot of other things like skype id aim id yahoo id etc now from a gdpr perspective we should only be storing the data that we need we shouldnt be storing data that we dont need of an individual so in my opinion if we dont need this data we should be removing it now it doesnt appear to be a way to actually remove it within moodle sort of normal settings i think thats a bit odd but thats just how it is so what we have to do is we just have to hide it so that it doesnt show up now the way that we need to hide it is using something called css now ive worked out over the years what css is required to hide it and youll see it here on the screen at the moment and the top three this will hide the entire sections so youve got ad
