Removing citations from a Word document Click the Edit Manage Citation(s) button in the ribbon in the EndNoteX8 tab. In the new window, locate the citation to be removed from the document. Select the Remove Citation option, then click the OK button at the bottom of the window.
Removing Endnote Online Coding from a Word Document 1) Click on the EndNote Web tab in Microsoft Word to open the EndNote Online toolbar. 2) Click the Convert Citations and Bibliography button and then select Convert to Plain Text. 3) Click OK.
Always save a copy of your document with the EndNote connection intact. It is not possible to undo this step. To break the connection with EndNote and remove the EndNote coding, click Convert Citations and Bibliography and Convert to Plain Text.
How can I disable EndNote in Word to manually edit my document ? NB Save a back-up copy of your document. In Word click on the EndNote X7 tab. In the Bibliography section, click on Convert Citations and Bibliography. Then click Convert to Plain Text.
In short, the usual workaround is to change the footnote/endnote styles (i.e. styles Footnote Text and Endnote Text) to Hidden under the Style settings choose Font then Hidden Text.
On the Document Elements tab, under References, click Manage. , and then click Citation Source Manager. In the Current list, select the source that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
Removing Spaces before Footnote References Press Ctrl+H. In the Find What box, enter a space followed by ^f. In the Replace With box, enter %^. Click Replace All. Change what is in the Find What box to % followed by a space. Clear the Replace With box; it should contain nothing. Click Replace All.
