this video will demonstrate how to hide a control or tab in ibms maximo for this i will be using the rm app developer perspective and trms rules manager studio ill be using this tool because it will vastly simplify this process in maximo lets hide the cost section in the purchase orders application i will open the purchase order app editor by right-clicking the po application in the app explorer on the left and selecting the edit option once the editor opens i will find the section i would like to configure in this case costs and right click i will then select the hide section option this creates a hidden event for this control and places a red dot next to the control to mark it as having a configuration by default there is no condition for this event so the section will always be hidden furthermore there are no restrictions to this event so it will hide for everyone to have this section hide only for specific users or sites please see our tutorial on limiting the scope of a config

Request types and issue types are the building blocks of requests. Issue types give your requests their foundational features, such as their fields and workflow statuses, while request types give your requests their specific settings such as naming and portal customization.
Administrators and project administrators can manage request type groups in Project settings Request types. Click on a group to add new or existing request types to it.
To add custom fields to a request type: Go to Jira Administration Projects. Select a project from the Project list. Go to Project settings. Select Request types. Choose a request type in which you want to use a multilevel structure and click Edit fields. Click Add a field. Select custom fields and click Apply.
Create an object Select Assets in the top navigation bar. Select Object schemas. Select the object schema where you want to create an object type. Select Create object. In the popup window: Select an object type for the object. Enter a name for the object. Enter information for any other attributes that are displayed.
