weve been given these text files for each one of the text files we have to group together material code records and create a report that lists material code once and the supplier information with a number incrementer in a single cell last video we used Excel worksheet formulas but because our source data is multiple text files the perfect Excel tool for this job is power query to import and append our text files we go to data get in transform drop-down for get data from file and down to the amazing from folder were gonna browse and this folder can be downloaded in the link below the video open we need to have power query look in our start folder now right now there are two text files material one and material two click OK click OK we click transform data this opens up the power query window we want to name it something like material supplier report theres only two text files so theres the actual file and some attributes we do not need any of these columns so we right-click remove
