Of the 200, we identified in a recent e-mail ten that we thought were really important. Im going to tell you about three of those ten articles that we published in 2017 that I think really made a big difference in medicine and public health. The first of them is a huge study that was done with all the people in Medicare in the United States in the relationship between air pollution and all-cause mortality, and what the study showed was that there was a relationship a strong relationship between air pollution as measured by fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and all- cause mortality. The most interesting finding was that for people who are living in areas even below the national current ambient air quality standards, if we can reduce pollution in those areas we improved all-cause mortality.
