With the blank document open, go first to Layout. Then, on the Margins dropdown menu, select Normal for 1-inch margins on all sides, top, bottom, left, and right. Instead, you provide a shortened version of the footnote, which includes enough information for the reader to find the full citation in your bibliography or in an earlier footnote.
When your parenthetical citation includes two or more works, order them the same way they appear in the reference list (viz., alphabetically), separated by a semi-colon. If you cite multiple works by the same author in the same parenthetical citation, give the authors name only once and follow with dates.
