Adding metadata to your document increases the searchability of your document. It also allows software applications to display information about the document to give the user enough information to determine if this is the document contains the information they are looking for.
Metadata includes information about the document and its contents, such as the authors name, keywords, and copyright information, that can be used by search utilities. The document metadata contains (but is not limited to) information that also appears in the Description tab of the Document Properties dialog box.
But sometimes, you might want to remove some of the metadata from a PDF for privacy or confidential reasons. Otherwise, the recipient can tell a lot of onfirmation about you or the document. Such as the date of creation, author, title, and other information that was used to create the file.
The standard PDF metadata includes the following fields: Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Application, PDF Producer, Created, Modified and etc. The metadata can be viewed and edited via File Properties menu in docHub Acrobat (Desription tab).
The first place to look for metadata in a PDF file is the Document Properties section. This section contains basic information such as the author of the document, its title, and when it was created or last modified. The Document Properties section is easily accessible from most popular PDF readers.
Using docHub Pro, you can enable tracking just by clicking the SEND AND TRACK from the file tab. Once this is enabled, the author gets a message whenever the document is opened.
How? First, right-click anywhere in the PDF and select Document Properties. Then check the details on the Description tab. In this example, the full title was listed (1), along with the correct authoring body at the time the document was created (2), and the date it was created (3).
How to turn notifications on or off Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Select the icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.) Select the Account icon in the upper right, and then select Preferences. In the left sidebar, select Notifications. Note: Select the types of notifications that you want to receive.
