Start at the bottom of the zipper, the opposite end from where you took off the slider. Push the teeth of the zipper together, making sure that the teeth from the left and right sides alternate. Put the zipper on top of a hard surface. As you work your way up the zipper, press down on the teeth to pop them into place.

Start by engaging the zipper as normal, and zipping the slider an inch or two upward. Using the pliers on your multitool, pinch each side of the slider (one jaw of the pliers on the inside of the slider, one on the outside). Apply just enough force to gently squeeze the front and back of the slider closer together.

Sometimes a zipper slider will separate from the teeth when theyve become bent or misaligned. Use needle-nose pliers to straighten them out to ensure the mechanism has an easy slide. Reinsert the slider.
Instead, youll need yourself a pair of pliers. One of the most common cause is when the teeth/elements are misaligned, and can be recognized when one or more elements stick out from the others. Grab some pliers and move it back to its place . Usually, this will solve the issue.
