Misaligned Zipper Here's one way to fix this problem: Cut away three or four teeth from one side of the zipper at the very bottom. Move the slider down to the bottom and pull apart the two zipper halves to eliminate the wrinkle.
A common solution to fixing your zipper is to use pliers to tighten the slide. If your zipper is separating, try pressing the slide together on the chain. Don't make it so tight that it won't glide. Make small adjustments until the slide is tight enough to fasten the teeth.
Use pliers to slightly stretch the openings of the metal stoppers and wiggle them free. Once you've removed the slider, push the zipper's teeth together tightly, realigning the track evenly. When you've realigned the teeth, put the slider back on the track one opening at a time.

Start by engaging the zipper as normal, and zipping the slider an inch or two upward. Using the pliers on your multitool, pinch each side of the slider (one jaw of the pliers on the inside of the slider, one on the outside). Apply just enough force to gently squeeze the front and back of the slider closer together.
A tent zipper can be fixed by following these simple steps: Figure out the nature of the problem with the tent zipper. Get out your tent repair kit. Remove fabric stuck in the zipper slider. Clean and lubricate the tent zip. Straighten the zipper teeth with pliers. Replace the zipper slider.
You could always take your tent to an alterations shop or a seamstress. The process usually involves un-stitching the broken zipper and sewing in a new one. This can easily cost over $100, which search the internet for a cheaper solution and end up finding us.
