hi in this video weamp;#39;re going to look at what is meant by fixed point binary and how we can convert from fixed binary to decimal and vice versa so first of all what you know why are we doing this why do we need to fix binary well itamp;#39;s where to represent real numbers and a real number is a number which has both an integer and a fractional part so far weamp;#39;ve looked only at how we can convert integers and use integers in various arithmetic but clearly maths isnamp;#39;t very useful if we only stick to integers and so we need to be able to represent fractions two in binary and thatamp;#39;s what fixed point can do along with floating point so really we have two options for representing real numbers fixed point or floating point both have got pros and cons and weamp;#39;ll look at the floating point in future videos as well as a proper evaluation after we look at both but before we do that we can start thinking about one limitation which is inherent to just using bi

In a fixed-width binary code, each letter, digit, or other character is represented by a bit string of the same length; that bit string, interpreted as a binary number, is usually displayed in code tables in octal, decimal or hexadecimal notation. There are many character sets and many character encodings for them.
To change binary code into text, which is what humans can read, you have two ways. First, convert the binary numbers into decimal or hexadecimal. Then, you find what letters or symbols they stand for using a chart called ASCII. Or you can simply use an online tool that does all the work for you.
To get the ASCII code for a digit-value less than ten [09], just add 48 or 0x30 which is the ASCII code for the digit 0. This translates the decimal value into the corresponding ASCII character: 0 becomes 0, 1 becomes 1, . . . , 9 becomes 9.
Just as 1/3 cannot be expressed exactly as a finite decimal in base 10, some decimal fractions cannot be represented exactly in binary. This disparity between the decimal and binary systems means that even seemingly simple numbers like 0.1 or 0.2 cannot be precisely represented in binary form.
In the programming world, Hello world is often used when writing a demonstration program to show that a piece of hardware is working, Hello world translated into binary is: 01101000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 00100000 01110111 01101111 01110010 01101100 01100100.
Given a binary string str, the task is to find its equivalent ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character string. Explanation: Dividing str into set of 8 bits as follows: 01100001 = 97, ASCII value of 97 is a. 01100010 = 98, ASCII value of 98 is b.
To do the conversion, we need to do several tasks: Validate the input. Format the input text if necessary. This helps the further actions. Take the binary digits(bits) in groups of 8. We call these groups octets. Convert each octet to its decimal code. Translate each decimal code to its symbol from the ASCII table.
