in this video we will learn about the differences between an example and a step example Anna did a task topic we will be using oxygen XML editor version 17 on a PC and text view one difference between the example element and the step example element is where they are allowed in the data task structure the example element is only allowed after the steps element in a task if you try to use the example element inside of a step element you will see that the document is no longer valid another difference between these two elements is their purpose while the step example element provides an example for a single step the example element provides an example for the entire task so the kind of content you will see inside the example element will generally have a broader scope

The DITA Troubleshooting document type describes a condition, or a problem followed by its causes and remedies. These topics document common issues and corrective steps to restore the system or fix an issue. Usually, the title element describes the issue and is followed by steps to correct the same.
Information Types DITA provides three base topic types (concept, task, and reference), a number of extended topic types, and the capability to create new topic types through specialization.
The troubleshooting topic provides sections for describing the condition, causes, and remedies needed to restore a system, a product, or a service to normal. For some conditions there could be more than one cause-remedy pair. The troubleshooting topic accommodates this.
The concept topic is specialized from the base topic information type. The top-level element for a DITA concept topic is the element. Every concept topic contains the standard topic elements, including title, short descriptions or abstract, prolog, a body, and related links.
The task topic includes sections for describing the context, prerequisites, actual steps, expected results, troubleshooting, example, and expected next steps for a task.
