Sprinkle your baking soda (it doesnt need to be an exact amount, just coat the bowl) around the bowl and watch as that chemical reaction sizzles. Swish that solution around using the toilet brush and then let it sit for about 15 minutes. If the stains are still visible use the wet pumice stone and flush.
Brown stains in a toilet bowl are often caused by rust, which can be due to iron in the water, hard water deposits or old pipes. The stains can also be caused by calcium or mineral deposits.
Use vinegar or another acidic cleaner to clean calcium buildup from your toilet. The acid will break down the mineral deposits so you can brush them away. Be sure to take the necessary safety precautions when working with cleaners. Wear gloves and eyewear and open windows for ventilation.
Douse the stain with white vinegar, then apply a paste made of equal parts baking soda and vinegar. If this doesnt work, immerse the item overnight in a bucket of water containing a few tablespoons of detergent and vinegar. Rinse and wash the following morning.
Mix teaspoon of liquid dish soap with 1 cup of warm water, and use a clean cloth to apply the solution to the stain, working from the outside toward the center. Leave the solution on for at least five minutes, then blot until the stain is gone.
For example, applying white vinegar or lemon juice and scrubbing with a toilet brush typically works on newer stains. You can also try mixing white vinegar and baking soda if you need a stronger scrub. For older stains, using an industrial-strength cleaner like CLR should do the trick.
Cover the entire stain with soda water and add table salt to the area. Cover with boiling water and let soak for half an hour, then pop in the wash with ⅓ cup of baking soda and wash on a normal cycle. Remember, the more time the stain has to set, the harder it will be to remove, so get onto it ASAP.
Over time your toilet water can cause an unsightly rainbow of stains and mineral build up in your toilet bowl. CLR Calcium, Lime Rust Remover helps you flush the filth away.
