To reduce the amount of characters, turn on short links in Profile Settings. If your signature has a long legal disclaimer, use the Read More link and link to an online version of your legal disclaimer to save on characters.
If youre having problems formatting your signature image, try these solutions: Delete then re-upload the signature image. Use a different upload method. Use a signature image in the recommended size.
The first and foremost cause of the Gmail email signature not showing up is incorrect signature settings. Sometimes, users may forget to turn on the signature feature, or they may not have saved the changes properly.
Understand why some signatures are not rendered correctly When your recipient reads your email in their email client, it should look the way you intended it to. However, as soon as they hit reply, their email client shifts into composing mode, and they can alter your signature in any way they like.
Select the Accounts tab and then choose Signatures under the Email Accounts section. Pick the signature you want to update from the dropdown. Make your changes (including formatting, colors, and font size). Hit Save to apply the changes2.
Add or change a signature Open Gmail. At the top right, click Settings. See all settings. In the Signature section, add your signature text in the box. If you want, you can format your message by adding an image or changing the text style. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
When the signature arrives in the recipients email client, and is read by the recipient, it should look as its intended to look* because that recipient is in reading mode. But as soon as that recipient hits reply to your email, the recipients email client has just shifted into composing mode.
Signature not displaying correctly: Check if any formatting or HTML code in your signature is causing the issue. Simplify the formatting or remove any problematic code. Try using a different web browser or clearing your browser cache.
