What is a T cover letter? A T cover letter is a style of a professional letter that compares the requirements listed in a job posting to your professional qualifications. It gets its name from the way it appears on paper or on the screen, with a T-chart setup that divides the page into two columns with a vertical line.
Its important to properly space the layout of the cover letters you send, with space between the heading, the greeting, each paragraph, the closing, and your signature. Single space your letter and leave a space between each paragraph. Also, remember to left-justify your entire letter. Font and font size.
A T-letter is like a cover letter, except that it doesnt cover anything. After an introductory paragraph, the T-letter includes two columns. In the left column, you list the prospective employers job requirements; in the right column, you list your qualifications as they match the job requirements.
Margins and Alignment Use standard margins (one-inch margins, usually). Can use smaller margins (to about 0.7-inch) as long as you are consistent on all sides. Align all paragraphs to the left of the page. (You can also indent the first line of each paragraph, but that is not used as often.)
