The mailbox full error message simply means that the recipients mailbox is full (may have exceeded the memory size limit) and can no longer hold any messages. The recipient needs to delete old messages or move them to a different folder to make room for new messages.
If the recipient doesnt have the email address that youre sending to, it will bounce the mail with the error message 550 5.1. 1 User unknown. Solution: Always validate the recipient email address youve given in the email for any spelling mistakes or errors.
It means that the recipients mailbox is full and cant accept messages now. That is to say, you cant send or receive your emails if your mailbox is full. The only thing you can do is delete emails from your account or upgrade your account to an advanced plan to get more email storage space for new messages.
Check the validity of the recipient address, and determine if the receiving server is configured correctly to receive messages. You might have to reduce the number of recipients in the message header for the host about which youre receiving this error. If you send the message again, its placed in the queue again.
To resolve this issue, you can either delete old emails and attachments to free up space or purchase additional storage from Google. If youre receiving a Gmail Full storage error message, it means that youve docHubed your storage limit and can no longer send or receive emails.
What do I do when my mailbox is full? Sort emails quickly using inbox search filters. Save important addresses and attachments. Unsubscribe from newsletters. Filter and block spam emails.
