we are here inside of photoshop i have the brush tool selected i can see the normal circular cursor and i can happily draw a squiggle like so so why is it that sometimes our cursor looks like this crosshair as opposed to the circle now everything still functions the same but again why the crosshair well the answer is probably you have the caps lock key turned on and thats what i actually turned on just a moment ago to show you this so if i turn the caps lock key off just now ah fantastic a circular cursor is back now again guys that capstock trick will probably solve any crosshair brush issues that you have but just in case it doesnt here on a mac photoshop preferences cursors if youre on a windows machine you will find these preferences at the bottom of the edit menu so if i choose cursors id like to draw your attention to this section just here titled painting curses now generally the brush tip will be set to normal and you can see that little circular preview just up here but i

Add Anchor Point Tool In the Toolbox, select the Add Anchor Point Tool. Click on the existing path to add an anchor point. Drag the added anchor point and / or its direction point to reshape line. Drag path to add an anchor and change reshape line.
In the Edit mode, select a surface anchor. Then, tap on Settings in the upper-right corner and choose Anchor Type and this will take you into Image Anchor mode. From Image Anchor mode, select Type > Image at the bottom of the screen.
