Change paragraph alignment Select the paragraphs you want to change. To center them, select Home Center . To align them along the right margin, select Home Align Right . To align along both margins, select Home Justify .
What is 1.5 spacing? Just like it sounds, 1.5 spacing is the middle distance between single- and double-spaced, or half a line of text. Sometimes word processors dont offer the option of 1.5 spacing, so its less common.
Actually, normal leading in Word is 120% of the font size. Thus a 12pt fontsize has 14.4pt leading. This is what Word refers to as single spacing. Thus, 1,5 linespacing equals a leading of 1.5*14.4=21.6pt for a 12pt fontsize.
Line spacing should be at least a space-and-a-half within paragraphs. So around 150 percent or 1.5 times the font size. Spacing following paragraphs should be at least two times the font size. Spacing between letters should be at least 0.12 times the font size.
It means the space between lines is 1.5 times the font size. Thus, 1.5 line spacing for 12-point type is 18 points, and so on.
Change line paragraph spacing On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Select the lines you want to change. Click Format. Line paragraph spacing. Select a line spacing option: To change your paragraph spacing, click Single, 1.15, 1.5, or Double.
