foreign says subscribe and click on the Bell icon to receive notifications its time now to shift our Focus away from text very slightly and start talking about paragraphs because there are a whole heap of different options that we can use in word 2021 to format entire paragraphs now the first thing we need to establish if youre not sure what exactly is a paragraph well in the context of word a paragraph is basically wherever the writer the typer has hit the enter key so this information that we have in this particular document if you remember we just copied and pasted it in from Wikipedia it doesnt necessarily have paragraphs in the correct places so if I have a quick read through and maybe I decide that there needs to be a new paragraph after the word area I can click my cursor hit the enter key and now word considers this block of text to be a brand new paragraph incidentally even the title in this document is considered to be a paragraph and I think in general we wouldnt normal

Heres how: Open your document and click the Format button on the top right to display the sidebar. If you already have text in your document that you want to adjust, select it. Make sure Style is selected near the top of the sidebar. Scroll down to Spacing and expand the section if necessary by clicking its tiny arrow.
Change the spacing between characters Select the text that you want to change. On the Home tab, click the Font Dialog Box Launcher, and then click the Advanced tab. In the Spacing box, click Expanded or Condensed, and then specify how much space you want in the By box.
Select the paragraphs you want to change. Go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Choose the number of line spaces you want or select Line Spacing Options, and then select the options you want under Spacing.
In Word for Mac OS X, click the paragraph icon in the Standard toolbar. If you dont see the icon, from the View menu, choose Toolbars, and then check Standard.
Set line and paragraph spacing in Pages on Mac Select one or more paragraphs, or click the text box or shape with the text you want to change. In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top. Click the pop-up menu to the right of Spacing, then choose an option.
Go to Home and select Line and Paragraph Spacing Line Spacing Options at the bottom of the menu. The Paragraph dialog box opens. On the Indents and Spacing tab, select the options you want, and click OK. The Paragraph dialog box options are described in Adjust indents and spacing.
Select the paragraph you want to change, or press Command (⌘) +A to select all text. Go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Select the line spacing you want.
Select the text that you want to return to its default formatting. In Word: On the Edit menu, click Clear and then select Clear Formatting.
