Using your cursor, highlight the entire document, or the parts of the document you want to see without the line. Click on Format, and then on Font. In the Font tab, uncheck the box next to Strikethrough. This will remove the line covering the text.
While you cant use the Backspace or Delete keys to get rid of it, you can still delete that line: Click directly above the line. Go to the Home tab in the Ribbon. Within the Paragraph section, click the dropdown arrow next to the Borders icon and select No Border.
Delete a template part from a form template Open the form template that contains the template part that you want to delete. On the form template, select the template part. Note: Template parts always appear inside section controls. Press DELETE. The template part is deleted from the view.
What youre experiencing is an autoformatted paragraph border. Microsoft Word, by default, attempts to autoformat certain character sequences into their rich text equivalent. Simple quotation marks become smart quotes (the curly kind), two dashes together become a single long dash, etc.
If you ever need to remove the line, all you need to do is click on it and press the Delete or Backspace key. There are numerous ways to insert lines into Microsoft Word, so be sure to check them all out.
Change the line spacing in a portion of the document Select one or more paragraphs to update. Go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Select Line Spacing Options and choose an option in the Line spacing box. Adjust the Before and After settings to change spacing between paragraphs. Select OK.
Heres a list of steps to help you create a horizontal line using keyboard shortcuts: Place your cursor on a blank line where you want to insert a horizontal line. To insert a basic line, type three or more hyphens (---) in a row. Hit Enter on your keyboard.
It is found in the paragraph option on the home page. Click on border to bring up the dropdown menu and select the horizontal line tool. Open your document in word and place the cursor to make the line. You must type three hyphens and press the enter key to solidify the line.
