in this video were going to talk about strobe lights and continuous lights and really what the difference is [Music] hello and welcome im lisa from milk and honey photography and the milky way and high help newborn photographers just like you create the art theyve always dreamed of in todays episode i want to share with you the differences on continuous lights and strobe lights and its not really as complicated as you might think it is lets get started so a strobe light is actually a flash its something good that youre going to have a trigger on your camera and a receiver on the light and this just is a way for the camera and the MV light to talk to each other when you press your shutter its going to cause the flash to fire and this is going to freeze the motion so youre able to take the picture now with a continuous light system that means the light is always on now you may be a little confused on which to get if you want to get a continuous or you want to get a strobe both

The typical lighting used with newborns is a 45 degree angle light. It is soft, sweet, and beautiful on babies. I tend to start the photos I take somewhere between 45 and 90 degrees. I prefer that a little better than true 45 degrees.

Your photographer contract should identify the fees agreed between the two parties and what those fees cover. It should state whether any deposit is required and how much that is. It should also clearly state when full payment or balance is expected by and whether there are any conditions attached to that payment.
Because a photography contract starts in writing, it should also end in writing. Proper contract cancellation should be well-documented. Both parties should specify the reason for the cancellation and when it took place.
To start, place the baby on his stomach with his legs tucked underneath him and his bum up in the air. Make sure to support the babys head and neck with your hand. This pose is perfect for capturing the babys chubby cheeks and tiny toes. To add some variety to this pose, you can try different angles and props.
The lighting modifier (umbrella, plm, or softbox) is at a 90 degree angle to the face. There are 2 popular ways to do this. First, you can have the edge of your light source in-line with the top of the babies head. This will give you the most shadows.
The lights should be at 45 angles from the art and camera. Use the standing lights with the umbrella diffuser attachments for soft, even light. This is an overhead view of optimal lighting setup. Note that the exact angle may be adjusted to accommodate various surfaces and reflectivity in your artwork.
