When printing Avery 5160 or other labels or reports where the position of the items on the page is important, be sure the printout is not scaled or reduced in any way, otherwise the labels may not line up to the printed text correctly when the document comes out of the printer.
Misalignment Problem: All your sticky labels are misaligned in the SAME direction by the SAME amount. Fix The Problem: Adjust the page margins of your label template. In Word, click on the Layout tab at the top of the page. Click on Margins and select Custom Margins from the list.
Centering Label Text Horizontally Or Vertically Merge the labels as you normally would. In Microsoft Word, click Table Select Table. Right click and highlight Cell Alignment. Choose the desired alignment.
The first thing you should do when your label printer is acting up is: check all the hardware. Open the printer. Make sure there is paper, with the label side facing up. Reset the paper, close the printer and hit the feed button, just to double-check.
Check your printer settings Print actual size (100%) - In the print dialog box, make sure the scale is 100%. Set your margins to None - Setting your margins to None may prevent any additional margin to be added by your printer causing your labels not be aligned properly.

Reset label text Right-click the data label, and then click Format Data Label or Format Data Labels. Click Label Options if its not selected, and then select the Reset Label Text check box.
