Fixed fee. Perhaps the most common and basic form of fee structure, the fixed fee (also known as a stipulated sum fee) asks for a fixed price based on a scope and schedule of the project that is agreed upon by both parties.
In writing a fee proposal, you should show the customer what you want to accomplish, how much it will cost, and why it ends up with such an amount. To achieve this, you will need to write a two-part proposal. The second section consists of tables that list the costs for each object in the statement of work.
A fee proposal is a proposal prepared by a consultant for a prospective client describing the services that the consultant proposes to undertake and the fee that will be charged. This may be in the form of a letter, or may be a more detailed document accompanied by a cover letter.
The fees may depend on the requirements, scope of work and its complexity. An established architects charges are much higher than that of a new one. Some architects charge a percentage of the total estimated cost of the project. It can be anything between 6% to 15% of the project fees.
It should provide a precis of the the later information, and specifically it should present an overview of the detailed proposal, some details about the firm and the staff member/s who will be working on the project as well as a summary of the the sketches and plans.
Pricing is the entire point of pricing proposals. As such, your proposal should also include the billing options you provide, due dates on payment, and if you have any terms and conditions. Both parties should agree to all terms before entering into the agreement.
A typical fee proposal breaks down the price into basic and supplemental services. Basic services are those required to complete design work and see the project through construction.
Begin with a title page. You have to convey some basic information here. Explain your why with an executive summary. State the problem or need. Propose a solution. Share your qualifications. Include pricing options. Summarize with a conclusion.
