Handling errors: If you make a mistake in your logbook (and you will at some point), simply draw one line through the mistake so it is clear to the reader what adjustment was made. No scribbling. No white-out.
The student will receive an in-app notification and an email that the endorsement has been sent. The endorsement will appear at the top of their logbook in the Drafts Requests section. The student should then tap the endorsement to review it and tap Accept to add it to their logbook.
This is done by writing VOID across the endorsement. The CFI should then document this change in the learners solo status by photocopying and/or taking a photograph of the voided endorsement and noting the date that it was pulled.
To correct an error in a logbook, draw a single line through the mistake and indicate what was adjusted. Please, no whiteout and no Sharpie. Often you will find initials next to a correction as well, to show who made the change.
Re: Logbook errors If it an error is not too many lines above your last entry cut a page from the back of the logbook and neatly past it onto the page to be corrected and rewrite the page. First make a copy of the old entries before doing so.
Correct Mistakes in a Straight Line Instead of hastily writing over the error, cross it out with a single line across the log entry. Use a ruler to make sure the line is straight so it looks clean and professional. Then, indicate that the correct log is in the next line or written in the margin.
Depending on how far along in your aviation journey you are, it is a good idea to invest the time in rewriting your logbook. Not only will this give you an opportunity to spot errors, but it will also allow you to rewrite your logbook with all of the previous tips in mind.
No. Any dates that have been altered with correction fluid may automatically make your application unsuccessful. If there is a simple mistake, please put a line through it and have the correct information entered.
