A weekly timesheet template is a document that employees, contractors, or freelancers can use to record and submit their weekly work hours. Timesheet templates often calculate gross pay automatically based on the hourly rates and total work hours entered.
There are two ways you can keep track of time: Measure working time using a timer - start tracking time when you start working on something and stop when you finish (or when you switch to a different activity). Add time manually later - approximate and enter all your time entries at the end of the day/week.
View time Go to Get paid pay then select Time (Take me there), or go to Time (Take me there). Select Time entries. From the dropdown, select Customer, Employee, or Contractor. Adjust the displayed date range if necessary. Select an individual customer, employee, or contractor to see the timesheet details.
Timesheet management isnt always as straightforward as logging a start and end time and calling it a day. Often, you need to categorize your times. Not all time spent on different tasks counts the same. Ask team members to split their timesheets into billable and non-billable hours to understand project scope better.
The employee timesheet should include the following information: Employees name. Pay period. Date worked. Day worked. Hours worked. Total workweek hours.
To view timesheets: Go to Time Entries Timesheets. To view timesheets for a select day or week: To view todays timesheets: At the left, select Today. To select a different day: Select the calendar icon. To select a different week: At the right of the calendar icon, select the left or right arrow icon.
