okay lets talk about log scales and how to read them in engineering we typically use a base 10 log scale and what that means is that every major tick mark is equal to 10 to an exponent and that exponent increases as you proceed increasingly along the log scale so simply really to just see it this way look point 1 its 10 to the minus 1 1 is 10 to the 0 10 is 10 to the 1 and 100 is 10 to the 2 so look at the exponent minus 1 0 1 2 etc okay so how do you read the log scale well what youre gonna do is youre gonna read the tick marks right so lets first actually see how we read the tick marks lets just pick this tick mark right here because this is a 1 and this is a 10 this tick marks are spaced by ones so this would be 2 this would be 3 this would be 4 5 6 7 8 9 okay now if we move to the right here Ive seen students for example right here 16 or sorry 11 12 13 14 no thats not right here we have to go by tens right so this is 20 30 40 etc okay this one over here is 90 I hope that y

Recovering an autosave (SV$) file: Open the Autosave folder. On Windows: By default, it is in the Temp folder. You may open it by typing %tmp% into the Start menu. Look for a file with the same name of the one to recover, a time stamp code, and an SV$ extension. Change the SV$ extension to DWG. Open the file in AutoCAD.
Solution: Open a new, blank drawing then type RECOVER on the command line. Browse to and select the file in question. Restore from a BAK file (see To Restore a Drawing From a Backup File). Delete DWL and DWL2 files: Insert the drawing in a blank drawing: Restore from an autosave file:
The backup file (BAK) is in the same folder as the drawing (DWG). Backup files will be the last-saved version.To recover a backup file: Open the folder containing the DWG file. Look for a file with the same name of the one to recover and a BAK extension. Change the BAK extension to DWG. Open the file in AutoCAD.
Run AutoCAD. Click on the AutoCAD icon, go to Option. Go to Open and Save, check if the box before Automatic save is checked, if yes, you can recover unsaved DWG file, if not, go to other options for dwg recovery.
Open the corrupted DWG file in AutoCAD and click the AutoCAD icon at Tools column Drawing Utilities Recover. The Recover option will repair a damaged drawing file automatically. Step 2. When the process finishes, check the repaired CAD file.
Access recoverable drawings after a program or system failure. For AutoCAD, hover over the down arrow to scroll to the bottom of the menu. For AutoCAD LT, enter DRAWINGRECOVERY at the Command prompt.
