hello everyone and welcome to introduction to our part 16 dealing with dates so in the last two lessons we learned various techniques for pre-processing text data and numeric data but many datasets also contain dates and date times which you cant treat as either strings or numeric data you have to treat them as their own thing so in this lesson were going to learn about various techniques for dealing with dates now Ill start just by reading in some date data that Ive prepared for this lesson you can see that the data here has four different columns which include dates and different formats and the names of the columns Ive prepared here tell you the general format of the dates for that column so this first column is called month day year because thats the format of how the date is so this one is day month year this one is a full date time so it includes both a date and a time signature and the last one is in year month day format this will just give us some data that we can work
