hey guys thought Id turn you on real quick so I got a tapered shaft engine here off a generator and I used a bolt to push the tapered shaft off it was an oversized bolt it was supposed to you know rest on the outside here but I think it dug in a little bit because now I cant thread in this bolt and when it does catch it gets stuck and goes sideways so I think I goo bird up those threads a little bit so I got a tap try tapping it back out I did inspect the threads and I dont see any damage down inside it must be right kind of at the lip so let me give it a go and see what happens and for this Im matching the threads of course exactly Im not trying to tap a new hole you know the threads arent stripped but they are cross threaded so Im hoping this can cut through some of that cross threading and make it back how its supposed to be for this I dont have any cutting lubricants Im gonna use a little bit of wd-40 to assist you know its a not ideal but you dont want to do this dry
