The first thing you need to do is think of an attention-grabbing headline and format it in bold, capitalizing the first letter and any proper nouns. Start off your first paragraph with the city youre in, the date, and some sort of attention-grabbing first line, also known as the grabber. The release should be written as youd like to see it appear in print. Make the journalists job as easy as possible, providing clearly the who, what, when, where, why, and how. Theyre very busy.
