I feel like maybe I should be wearing some scary outfit or something, but the reality is that Unsafe Code has this reputation in the Rust world of being scary and hard and somewhat unknowable. And Like to an extent, like thats an earned reputation, right? Like the number of ways you can shoot yourself in the foot with unsafe, there are a lot of them and sometimes it is really hard to get right. But I think being scared of it is not the right approach. The right approach is to sort of look at what can go wrong and try to learn from it so that you dont make the same mistakes in the future. To me, unsafe code has always sort of been like If youre in unsafe world, youre just writing C. So if most of your code is not unsafe, youre still better off than what you would have been otherwise.
