Changing the DS-160 After Booking an Appointment Yes, you can change your DS-160 Form after submitting and booking an appointment, but you will have to pay the fee again and book a new appointment. This is because you will be submitting a new form (with a new bar code) rather than editing the existing one.
After completing a new DS-160, please log into your ustraveldocs account, update the new DS-160 barcode number on your appointment at least three working days prior to your appointment date, and print out a new Appointment Confirmation Sheet.
After you have scheduled an appointment, you can still go ahead and correct the DS 160 number until two business days before your visa interview. To correct the number, you will need to log in to your profile and click on update profile.
The barcode number on the Form DS-160 confirmation page is required in order to book your interview. The Form DS-160 must be submitted online. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will not accept handwritten or typed applications and you will not be permitted to attend your interview without a Form DS-160 confirmation page.
Although the system doesnt make the methods for revising an already submitted DS-160, you can do the following (as further described below): go online to submit a either a corrected or DS-160. print the new confirmation page, and. bring that to your interview at the consulate or embassy.
