Contact us
Locate the report containing inaccurate information. Select File a dispute at the bottom of the page. Choose the incorrect record(s) based on the options provided. To assist with the investigation process, provide as much information and documentation as possible to support your claim that the record is inaccurate.
Get in touch with the consumer reporting agency, identify the inaccurate/errors in the report, and request that the company correct the report based on evidence you provide. You should be specific and clear in identifying the inaccurate information.
Contact the company you applied with so they can update the information or request a new report. Checkr is unable to change the submitted information.
If you think there are mistakes, contact the background reporting company to explain the mistakes and ask that they fix them. Include any supporting documentation you have with your request.
Its best to notify the employer straightaway and provide evidence to prove the information is wrong, then, together, you can move forward to get the background check results corrected. Dont wait on this part, though, because the employer is under no obligation during the 60-day period to hold the job open for you.
To request a new background check, contact the company you applied with. Checkr cannot initiate a new report for you.
Submit a request to Checkrs Support Team. This is dependent on what the issue is. First, check the Candidate Portal and/or your email for a link sent by Checkr that allows candidates to re-enter their SSNs. If you do not see anything in the Candidate Portal or your email, submit a request to Checkrs Support Team.
The only way to remove or update your information from an FCRA background check or regulated website is to contest the accuracy records or provide proof of expungement or sealing. Some employers are allowed to see certain expunged or sealed cases on an FCRA check.
