hey this is Ralph and in this video I want to use Excel to calculate some annualized returns of a series of investments okay so Ive got some investments here set up in Excel they have various investment dates that all the initial principal investments were ten thousand dollars and they all have some random current value so I want to use Excel to calculate the annualized return some of these investments were obviously less than a year some of them are more than a year and I want to find out what the annual return is so that I can make a better comparison with them so Ive got a spreadsheet started up and Im gonna start to put in some data or do some calculations to get the information I need to make my annualized return formula as easy as possible first is the easiest one I think and I need to determine the gain of these investments so Im simply going to be equal to the current value minus the initial investment and Ill fill that down so that we can see Ive got some positive retur
