Identifying Subjects and Predicates at GrammarSongs by Melissa. We use complete sentences every day when we read, speak, and write. Complete sentences help us communicate in a way that enables us to understand each others thoughts and ideas. Complete sentences are made up of two parts called the subject and the predicate. The subject tells who or what the sentence is about. The predicate tells what the subject does or is. In the sentence Mary went to the store, the subject, Mary, is who the sentence is about.Went to the store is the predicate because it tells what Mary, the subject, did. Its important to note that the predicate usually begins with the verb and includes the rest of the sentence. Remember, the subject tells who or what the sentence is about. The subject can be a noun, proper noun, or pronoun. The predicate tells what the subject does or is. The predicate usually begins with a verb. Lets practice identifying the subject and predicate in some complete sentences. The

Every Subject is an Observable. Given a Subject, you can subscribe to it, providing an Observer, which will start receiving values normally.
While all observables represent information over time a behavior subject is a type of subject that keeps track of the last value that it emitted. This value is then emitted again for any new subscriber after that last emission. Any subsequent values are emitted to all subscribers and, again, remembered by the behavior.
There are two types of subjects in sentences: simple and complete. A simple subject is only the main word or words that do the verb. No extra information is included in a simple subject. A complete subject, on the other hand, includes the main word or words and any modifiers.
A subject can be subscribed to, just like an observable. A subject can also subscribe to other observables.
The one and major difference between observable and the subject is that observables are unicast (each subscribed Observer owns an independent execution of the Observable) while the subject is multicast which means it is like an event emitter, it maintains the registry of listener(s) and updates each listener every time
The Subjects are special observable which acts as both observer observable. They allow us to emit new values to the observable stream using the next method. All the subscribers, who subscribe to the subject will receive the same instance of the subject hence the same values.
The main difference between an Observable and a Subject is that a plain Observable by default is unicast. It means that each subscribed Observer owns an independent execution of the Observable. On the other hand, Subjects are multicast. A Subject is like an Observable, but it can multicast to many Observers.
You subscribe by calling the subscribe() method of the instance, passing an observer object to receive the notifications.
Subscribe to a Subject log(`From Subject : ${v}`) }); subjecttest. subscribe({ next: (v) = console. log(`From Subject: ${v}`) }); The subscription is registered to the subject object just like addlistener we discussed earlier.
Subjects are a type of Observable. However, unlike an Observable, Subjects can emit events/values to its subscribers using the next() function. Therefore, you can publish changes (using next()) to a Subject and listen for changes (using subscribe()).
