Minwax presents just ask Bruce I have this old nightst and I want to make it beautiful but Im pretty new at this so I figured Id just ask Bruce glad you asked Dave the first step in any project is prepare the wood now I prefer to start by sanding with number 120 grit sandpaper and I finish with Number 220 grit always sanding in the direction of the grain of the wood after that I wipe off all the dust next using a natural bristle brush I apply a liberal coat of Minwax pre-stained wood conditioner now the wood conditioner will help the wood absorb your stain evenly and will prevent the wood from turning blotchy now allow the conditioner to remain on the wood from 5 to 15 minutes then wipe off off any conditioner it doesnt absorb and now youre ready to stain the first thing I want to do is stir the can thoroughly mixing in any of the pigments that may have settled to the bottom then with a natural bristle brush Im going to work the stain into the wood now you can leave this on up to

That said, if your teeth are healthy and the staining isnt too deep, you might see some improvement with whitening strips or other home treatments. For more noticeable and longer-lasting results, professional whitening treatment is the best way to remove stains from teeth.
Although bonded teeth are polished upon application, they are still susceptible to stainingespecially from food and drink with darker pigments (coffee, tea, soda, berries, red wine, turmeric, etc.) or tobacco products.
While veneers are fairly stain-resistant, it is still possible for their tone and sheen to change over time, particularly for patients who drink coffee or smoke. Fortunately, the majority of patients with porcelain veneers do not develop noticeable staining within the lifespan of their veneers.
Extrinsic Stains Extrinsic stains are caused by external sources, such as food and drinks, tobacco use, and poor dental hygiene. They occur on the surface of your teeth and can usually be removed with professional cleaning or teeth whitening methods.
Rinse your mouth with water after eating or drinking something that may stain your teeth. Use a straw when drinking cold drinks like cola or juice that may stain your teeth. Chewing gum that contains xylitol (a sugar substitute) can help to stimulate more saliva, which cleanses your mouth.
If you have brown stains and pitting (small holes) in your teeth, it probably means you have untreated tooth decay. Purple teeth stains usually affect people who consume a lot of red wine. Gray tooth discoloration may mean that the nerve inside your tooth has died. Dental trauma can cause this.
This discoloration is called fluorosis. It may appear as white or greyish streaks across the teeth. In severe cases, fluorosis can cause dark brown spots and pits. While symptoms may be similar to those of tooth decay, fluorosis is generally harmless.
Tooth discoloration refers to the staining or darkening of your teeth. You can develop discolored teeth for a number of reasons. Some causes are unavoidable like aging, trauma or disease. Other causes are preventable like smoking and poor oral hygiene.
