okay what I want to talk about is dyes and stains and the difference the main difference is that dye I mean is that pigments can talk sorry the main difference is that stains have what we call a binder in them basically think of it as glue that glues to pigment onto the wood it kind of sort in the case of life men wax or any oil any of your oil based stains typically its more linseed oil and what the pigments in dyes I mean in stains kind of they remain a pigment meaning that they there are they dont dissolve and dyes they dissolve that like food coloring they just completely become part of the thing it becomes you know its theres no theres nothing to bind its just you know its absorbed by the wood and thats it now the other thing that you run into is with stains many of them or combinations of a die intestate now how do you know what you got and you know you take like for example Mohawk here cause there it cuz this ultra penetrating stain its about when I stick the stickiness
