- Hey everyone, my name is Paul Vojchehoske and welcome to the Real Estate Classroom YouTube channel. Before we get started, please do me a favor. Give this video a thumbs up, hit that red subscribe button and click on the notification bell. In todays video were gonna discuss whats called a deed of trust, or sometimes called a trust deed, depending on what part of the country youre operating in. Now, I did a previous video on, excuse me, the promissory note and a mortgage. A promissory note, the mortgage, and a deed of trust all kinda go hand in hand together. So if you have not watched that video yet, I highly recommend that you go watch that video first, then come back to this one. That will make this video make so much more sense. And Im gonna put a link right up here in the upper right hand corner of your screen to that video. So thats my recommendation. All right, so are you ready? Lets talk about deeds of trust in this video. (upbeat music) So what is a deed of trust? Well

A lot of times its beneficial to stain the wood first but you should also apply 1 coat of poly so the stain doesnt get damaged as you handle it. Ive never had any issues going back and staining bare spots from cuts or whatever. In many cases I completely finish molding, stain and poly, before cutting and installing. Staining wood before cutting - DoItYourself.com Community Forums doityourself.com forum 640408-staining doityourself.com forum 640408-staining
Remember: a stain provides color, but not protection. Once the stain has dried, apply a clear finish to protect both the stain and the woodand to make the final results look even more beautiful.
The glue cant sink into the pores of the wood well when stain is already in there. However, you will soon find out that stain wont sink into glue, either. That means the best thing would be to never get glue anywhere but inside the joint you are gluing. Frustration: Do I Glue or Stain First? - House of Miniatures Builder houseofminiatures.org do-i-stain-or-glue-first houseofminiatures.org do-i-stain-or-glue-first
Finishing before assembly is really suited to spray finishing but can also work for hand applied finishes as well, depending on how many coats you apply and the curing time. One great advantage of finishing before assembly is that glue squeeze-out is no longer a problem. How to finish first - Australian Wood Review woodreview.com.au how-to how-to-finis woodreview.com.au how-to how-to-finis
Staining before assembly prevents glue from getting on the wood surface which tends to seal out stains and produce uneven color. Staining first also ensures complete stain coverage, especially in hard-to-docHub areas.
All stains require a clear coat- it is only color, not protection. Think of a mustard stain on your tie. ALL Minwax stains require a clear coat even those purported to be one-step products. Yes, all finishes outgas for awhile, until they are fully cured.
Without a protective top coat, wood can be damaged easily due to contact with water, food, or sharp objects. A polyurethane top coat protects the wood from scratches, stains and water damage. A Spar Varnish should be used on outdoor wood to protect it from weather damage and UV rays.
Depends. If, when assembled, areas would be hard to stain, do it before. Same with the polyurethane or other finish coat. If it will be easy to stain and finish, do it after.
