The average Kindle book size is about 300 pages, or 75,000 words of text, and the average Kindle e-book file size is 2.6 MB. But thats not exactly a one-size-fits-all answer. The size of your Kindle book will depend on the genre you write in and how many words (or images!)
The top, bottom, and outside margins must be a minimum of 0.25 inches for books without bleed and 0.375 inches (9.6mm) for books with bleed.
Depends on the type of file and the amount of design elements. A normal ePub ranges from about 300 KB to 1 MB. average size seems to be - ing to my thousands of ebooks - right around 532KB. Some are larger, most are smaller.
The ideal eBook cover size is 1,600 x 2,650 pixels. These dimensions give a height/width ratio of 1.6:1.
An ideal height/width ratio of at least 1.6:1, meaning: For every 1,000 pixels in width, the image should be 1,600 pixels in height. Your cover image must be less than 50MB. Note: Try to avoid compressing your files. This can affect the quality of your cover when displayed on reading devices.
The most common trim size for books in the U.S. is 6 x 9 (15.24 x 22.86 cm). When setting up your book, this is the default in the Print Options section of the Content tab. If you want a different trim size, click Select a different size.
The top, bottom, and outside margins must be a minimum of 0.25 inches for books without bleed and 0.375 inches (9.6mm) for books with bleed.
For 8.5x11 documents (bound or unbound), use 1-inch margins. Adjust margins, font size, and columns to produce 65-70 characters per line (including spaces).
It is good to choose 12pt for the body text and 14-18 pt for chapter titles. As an author, you want the best product in your hand. Make informed choices and create an eBook that has maximum readability.
