okay hello and welcome to my shop i have seen videos on various ways of sealing end grain on freshly cut wood and ive got nothing new to add except im just going to reinforce uh the fact that uh you can you dont have to stick to the traditional uh end grain sealer such as this not not that this is a bad product this is a fine product for what it is and its a little pricey though um i do use it for some things but ive recently um turned to using just uh regular wood glue and i dont think it matters what brand this is just what i happen to have and theres a big cost advantage too i think this is anywhere from forty fifty dollars a gallon i picked up a gallon of this yesterday at uh the big box store for 16 and um actually in my opinion i almost think that this seals the end grain better than this ive got a piece here thats dry um i dont know if the camera will pick it up but you see the nice even sheen where that end grain is just sealed up tight and its a nice hard surface u
