Hello friends this is pastor Daniel Gouveia, thank you so much for checking out this review. Today im just taking a quick look at the New King James Personal Size Large Print Reference Bible. This bible features end of verse references and it is a verse by verse Bible. Has large print, it lays flat, has a sewn binding and it is not a premium Bible, this has a brown leather soft cover but I can tell you that for the price, I got this on Amazon for 21 dollars, I believe, for the price this is an amazing bible. It would probably make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone that you want to bless without spending a lot of money. So this is the box it comes in this box it retails for 29.99 but yeah, you can get it for way less, 21 dollars I believe on Amazon, clear and readable 10.5 point text size and its the Comfort Print from Thomas Nelson, which is an excellent, excellent font so, two column format yeah let me just open it up and show you. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, It is finished! Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. That phrase is actually the translation of one word, tetelestai, in the original language of the Bible. And this rich and carefully chosen word is full of powerful meaning. While שָׁלֵם in the context of translating έ in John 19:30 has the meaning, It is finished, שָׁלֵם in the Torah has the meaning to make restitution. Thus, in the Jewish mind this word also brings up the thought of to pay or make restitution, to restore or make peace, to make whole.
In the entire Bible, the word tetelestai is used only twice. In both instances, it appears in the Gospel of John. The verb is used once in John 19:28 and again in 19:30. In 19:28, the author references Jesus knowledge that everything had been finished; the final fulfillments of scripture would soon be addressed.
