okay i was thinking about the blend wrong i was trying to relate it to the other piece of geometry here and theres the really the only way to do that that ive figured out is to use the same parameter for the diameter so lets go ahead once more we have our column lets just make sure we have some continuity here we started our column we have our our regions that we want tapered we want to do a taper from this surface to up to here and well we can do it on either end to start with so well go to the start with the lower reference level again well do a blend shape well make the top of that six inches in diameter well edit the top which is going up so its the larger section and instead of trying to relate it to a piece of geometry im just going to make another circle and im going to grab out the dimension again and then give it that same diameter or radius and we can complete that out well go to a front elevation so we can see what weve got so weve got our taper started here
