Take a look at the IRS Form W-2 and locate Box-D below the employees name, business address, and zip code box. Box D is primarily designated for reporting a control number on Form W-2.

Box 14 is used to report amounts that dont belong in other boxes on Form W-2. Employers can use it to report additional tax or income information for filing or informational purposes. The value of RSUs is typically recorded in Box 14 of the W-2, which is labeled Other. Box 14 doesnt have a standard list of codes, thus allowing employers to enter any description they like. You might see the value of your vested stock followed by RSU.
If you have wages in box 18 subject to local, city, or other state income taxes, any amount of withholding will be reported at box 19. Box 20 is exactly what youd expect: the name of the local, city, or other state tax being reported at box 19.
