In this tutorial, the customization of a dark book XSL style sheet in Oxygen XML Editor is demonstrated. By transforming a dark book document to PDF using the default DuckBook PDF transformation scenario, a two-page document with a portrait page format is achieved. To obtain the PDF document pages in landscape format, a customization layer is created as a style sheet that layers changes on top of the existing dark book Excel template. A new XSL style sheet is created, standard DuckBook FO stylesheet imported, paper type and page orientation parameters set to A4 landscape using XSL param element, and the stylesheet saved. The existing DuckBook PDF scenario is duplicated, the created stylesheet used, and the transformation scenario applied, resulting in a two-page document with landscape page format.
