[Music] hey its dr scott watson here with another finale tutorial in this video were going to go over how to enter tuplets in finale tuplets are when you divide the beat into things other than the normal twos and fours that occur in the time signature for instance if youre in 4 four and you want to divide the quarter note into three eighth notes rather than two so that would be called a triplet or if you wanted to divide the quarter note into six sixteenth notes that would be uh a sextuplet or maybe five a quintuplet or seven a septuplet so all of those tuplets can be entered very easily in finale with the speedy entry tool which is what were gonna use and i will say this if youre used to using the simple entry tool and you like using the triplet tool where you touch the first note in the triplet and it turns it into a triplet uh go for it um but i think its a lot quicker and easier to use the speedy entry tool hence the word speedy so were going to be focusing in on the speedy
